Meet Charity – Founder & Occupational Therapist
Charity Higgins, MOT, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist, founder, and healthcare executive with over 17 years of experience supporting children and families through sensory integration–based, neuro-affirming care. She is the Founder and CEO of Kidz Therapy Zone, a multi-site pediatric therapy practice providing occupational, speech, feeding, and school-based services across Central Florida.
Clinically, Charity specializes in sensory processing, regulation, motor development, feeding challenges, and functional participation, with advanced training in autism, feeding therapy, primitive reflex integration, therapeutic listening, handwriting and regulation-based approaches. She is deeply committed to partnering with families and interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful, strengths-based outcomes for children.
Professionally, Charity’s current focus is on scaling systems, teams, and culture to support the launch and growth of Breakthrough Kidz Academy—an integrated, neuro-affirming educational and therapeutic program designed to meet children where they are and support long-term success beyond traditional therapy models. Her goals include building sustainable infrastructure, developing strong operational leadership, and expanding access to holistic, child-centered services while maintaining the heart and values that define her work.
Charity is passionate about creating environments where children feel safe, supported, and empowered, and where professionals are equipped to do their best work with clarity, compassion, and purpose.
